There's going to be a lot of proof Lincolns from 2009 - and it seems a lot of them are going to be in bad shape. One of my sets looks looks pretty good (I think it is the one from the clad set), but the one from the silver set is awful. Quality control is lacking in San Francisco this year...

Just more money for the Mint to suck out of your wallet. I am not impressed with the quality of the proof coins at all this year.

I have to fully agree Jason and that said and Being a former quality inspector myself that someone was/is not doing there job.

Wasn't this set supposed to include a Lincoln Silver Commemorative Dollar? Did I miss something?

This is the newest one called a "Stand alone Proof Lincoln set made of copper".

The one you mentioned is the one in the leather like textured package/and coins encased in clear protective capsules for the Lincolns and the Commerative Dollar. (Coins and Chronicles set) which will also include the reproduction of the Gettysburg address an image of Abe and a cert of authenticity.

Brad: Coin world 24 Aug 2009 edition starting on page 4 and ending about the special set on page 72. This is the only info I have seen or read and there are not prices on either set yet. The Stand alone set looks as though it will be unlimited production and the Commerative set will only be 50,000 sold.

That'll be the last 50,000 Lincoln Commemorative dollars - which makes it unlikely that most, if any, of us LCRers would get this new set...that is if any of us still wants it after already buying two sets...

I agree. I have the commerative coin and the pennies now for what they are worth by condition.
