Has anyone used either of these or know anything about them?
Orion MicroXplore PC200

Celestron 44300 HandHeld Digital Microscope

I like the variable range noted for the Orion, but I googled and could not find much info about either one.

I wanted to stay int he 100 - 150 range if possible.

Did you check out the Digital Blue QX5?

It costs around $79.00. Has 10X, 60X, and 200X lenses. Works pretty good.

DWK...

Question: Are you using the Digital Blue QX5 on XP or Vista?

My QX5 is on XP on my Laptop. I'll attach some pics tomorrow when I get a chance.

They aren't the sharpest in the world but they aren't too bad either. Judge for yourself tomorrow. I'm not on the PC with the scope right now.

Looks pretty good . The QX 5 seems to take a little more in focus shot...Thanks

Thanks guys. I think I am going to try one of these variable 0-200 1.3 megapixel setups I have found by various manufacturers...I am hoping the 1.3 mp will help with the image quality. The qx series is not bad but I'd like the ability to varie the magnification and not be limited to the 10, 60, 200.

yes that is a drag.... 10x does not include the entire circumference . 60x OK but would be nice to more of the field in IGWT etc.. say at 20x-30.

And 200x forget it

I got the Califone USB Microscope...Nothing special about these cents, however I thought I'd post a few pics just in case someone was interested in the same device.

For 110.00 not bad.
