I used to be active in the BIE Guild many years ago. I have a copy of the John Gedko BIE catalog which I contributed to way back when. I would like to communicate with active BIE collectors and maybe trade extras or buy outright. My very best find was a BU 1942P Full BIE for $.75 Hope to hear from BIE collectors. Check BIE Collector Blog for BIE's to look for.
Thank you. Happy Hunting
I am not an avid collector of BIEs, but I have saved up a few rolls of them over the years. I don't have any BIE books, so I have never cataloged them. I will be glad to trade or sell all I have if you wish.
I have about 65 or so in 2X2s, a full roll of 1957D BIEs, a half roll of assorted uncirculated, and 2 1/2 rolls of assorted circulated BIEs.

Welcome to the forum. I will keep my eyes open for BIE's. I'm not sure if anyone else collects them regularly....so you may have a lot of sellers which will be good for you!
Yes BIE's are mostly in the 50's but there are several in the 40's even a 1936P. There are about 3000 different full and partials. They are fun to collect because they are cheap and relatively easy to find. Of course there are the rare ones and spectacular breaks that you always hope to find. I only collect uncirculated BIE's. I invite questions and comments.
Also trades or outright purchases.
Welcome to the forum. It's kind of cool that you bring this part of the hobby into the forum with you. I have found a quite a few BIE's over the years, but I tend to sell them off as fast as I get them. They always sell on ebay. I would be interested in knowing what the rare ones and spectacular one are, just in case... Maybe you could post a few pics.
Anyway, glad to have you with us.
