I just found this tonight going thru a $50.00 coin counting machine bag.

Is this possibly a DDR?
I can't match most of the die markers for this at Coopercoins.

It does have faint markers by Lincoln's profile similar to the 003, but there are no extra columns to the right of Lincoln on the Reverse and I don't see any other die markers matching by the C in CENT or dots by BERTY.

It also seems to be very shiny in the last 2 bays and it appears to be more like die gouges in between the columns under 10X Mag, but I'm not sure.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

That might be it...

The doubled profile on 1994P 1DR-003 is very puzzling.
I have not finished shooting this yet but I will post what I have:

It sure does look like DDR-003, is it possible it is a later die state and that is why some of the markers may be worn. Can you show us some of the fields around the devices on the reverse?

Jason:

Here are some more pics of a close-up of Lincoln.

There is a double profile, but not as intense as your coin is showing.

Thanks for the responses.

Just sent a e mail with pics off to MR.Wiles for his review etc and possible forwarding of this cent to him etc.

I'll post results when known.

Thanks again,

Chuck.

Nice find chuckster! Jason, I found one of those doubled profiles in the past. But I threw it back thinking it was plating issues...

*UPDATE: 12/02/2009.

I just got an e mail response back from Mr.Wiles.

He is requesting to see the coin in hand as it appears to possibly be a new find for the CONECA Files.

Coin is being sent to Mr Wiles, I'll post his official response/attribution etc when known.

Thanks again,

Chuck.
