    1972 doubling

I found this 1972 cent several years ago. It fits the double die hole in my penny album, but it is probably just machine doubling. What do you think?

    Welcome to the forum!

I agree it does appear to be nice clear example of Machine Doubling (MD). The easiest way to get to know '72 DDOs is to buy a cheap circulated on on eBay for like $10-20 and compare it to the MD example you have on hand. Alternatively one can search through a few hundred dollars worth of bank rolls and you'll probably find either a die #3 or #8 which are really cool to find...
