I know this coin is a DDO Class VI. I think it's 1944D-1DO-001 because of how thick liberty is. I know that Wexler has 3 different ones listed in his new book and coppercoins has a few different ones listed as well. There are no die markers noticeable because of the condition of the coin. Am I right in thinking I have a 1DO-001 here?

Nice find. I did a quick overlay using your pics and that of DDO-001 from CC and your MM is right in place. I'd say you have a winner. Also, I'm not aware of any other 1944-D class 6 DDO with such extreme bending in LIBERTY. This is just my opinion, but all the same, Very Nice find.

I agree that this one is DDO-001. The extreme nature of this die, along with the mint mark placement makes this one easier to pin point. Congrats!
