It's ironic that just last week i read where nobody could recall ever finding a 1960-D S/L in the wild, in their change and this morning I got this at the grocery store. The coin has a lot of the attributes and devices that Coppercoins has for a 1960D-1DO-003 MDS markers http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1960&die_id=1960d1do003&die_state=mds and there are some extra stuff and I cannot identify the D/D.

Just trying to excercise some of Bob's recent off-forum tutoring...

Hopefully one of you great wizards can help me :)

Nice pictures and illustrations Brooks. The idea with die markers is that they be the same, not similar. Amazingly you have a coin that is similar in many respects to 1DO-003 but not the doubled die. One indication it is not the DDO is the MM, which is too low on your example. The die scratches through ERTY and the clash on the reverse, again, very similar but not exact

The MM I'm not sure about, there may be something there but I'll let someone else comment on it.

Below I'll include a closeup I have of 1DO-003:
