Error Die Clash/Break | 1983 extra letters

This is a hard error to photograph. The gauges are easy, but I cant seem to get the extra letters to show up in the pictures. But they are there, I promise. I posted this coin over a year ago, but I now have a much better camera so I thought I'd try again. Thanks for looking.

The marks are a dead giveaway. I have a couple that are well worn like yours amongst my 5 finds that came out of circulation.

Thanks, That was one of my first good finds and I only knew about it from this site. Nobody I showed it to knew anything about it. Just recently did I see it in a book.

This probably the most readily available Type II counterclash among U.S. coins. I found one in my wife's purse shortly after I started collecting.
