Roller

Thanks for the welcome from management and hi to all. I'm in Miami Florida, and started "looking" at pennies just recently. I have collected stamps and antiques for years and, like many others, have thrown change in buckets and jars around the house for some 20 years (mostly pennies). Recently, I decided that there was just too much of it and that I should take it all to the bank and get "real oney" in exchange. I've known about a few rare pennies and thought, why not look at all of them (daunting task). Long story short, I got hooked on the Lincoln cent. I have now examined well over 15,000 of them and keep going back to the banks and supermarkets to get more rolls. (Hence the moniker "Roller") I am at the point where I think I will need therapy shortly.
I have, thus far, found two 1998 close AM's and one 2000 along with various cracked die specimens and one cud, numerous chipped die and other anomalies. I look forward to discussin some of them ad nauseam, especially when I get a micro lense for my camera.
One item, however, is bugging me. I found what is either a very hard double strike or doubled die 1995 that appears to have been gold plated. I am itching to try and strip the plating to see what's under it. I figure that in as is condition the coin is probably not worth anything so why not clean it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. George
