Error Die Clash/Break | 1983 Raised and Incuse Clash Remnants

I have the hardest time with these clashed coins, I looked in Stike it rich and don't think this is WCLO-002 so what then...you will see raised lettering around IN GOD WE TRUST and also incuse marks which look like nasty bag marks but untypical. By the way I found two of these exactly alike so far in a big bank bag.

I can't tell if it's a bad planchet or debris was between the die and planchet when struck.

This looks like a badly damaged die. Sometimes, the dies are pitted or gouged by debris. It doesn't look like a counterclash, or even a regular clash. The die gouges all over it, combined with the plating bubbles really makes it look like a mess.

Bob you really must see this in person, if those are plating bubbles around the lettering I really need to know because under the scope in real light they sure look like lettering or pieces of lettering.

I'd be happy to have a look at it Jeffrey. Photos are not always the best way to make an accurate assessment. Either way, the die was a mess on this one.

That's a tough one, maybe Bob can figure it out. From the photos I don't see any specific lettering, but it may look different in person.
