I don't know if it is anything. I checked Variety Vista for the styles of FG on the reverse. This G appears to be different. It look's like a RDV-007. The location of the G appears to futher NE. It may be nothing but thought I would ask. This is on a 1989 P Lincoln Cent.

I'm thinking this one is an RDV-006 with some detail worn away.
Look at the top curve of the G and the extention over the upright leg of the G. Also check the extention of the F over the G of the RDV-006 and the RDV-007. Compare those with the photos attached and see what you think.

Thank's Steven.

By looking at your Wide and Close AM photos I looked at my coin and it's a Wide AM. I do beleive it is worn for it is a circulated coin but in good shape. I can't make the call for I am not expert on this subject by no means. I do understand what your saying though.

Thank you Steven. I think you may be right. Here is another view not so close.

I believe it's RDV-006, the proper reverse design for 1989. The detail that was worn away was on the die and not the coin itself.

Thank's Steven, David. I agree it could be the working die probably was reworked to produce more coins. I was drawn to that assesment when Steven posted the Proof reverses. I'm still amazed how clean and clear the vertical leg takes a sharp 90 degree turn, then horizontal across the leg. I guess I will save it for now.

CCC,
Just for clarification those reverses I posted of the designers initials are of circulation issue coins not proofs.

Your correct in my error. I have been searching proof's today also.
