At first this looked like an RPM but realizing it's an '01 it can't be. So what is it? I've had my share of bubbles/blisters and this one is not. Under the microscope it looks just like the rest of the mm and it looks to be part of it. Any thoughts?

Looks like a broken die.piece from MM shifted to the left during strike.
Only my opinion.

Hi Roller, I posted a 2003 with that same "blister", except mine was connected to the D. I felt like you, it's not a blister but I was told it is. It just don't have that look.

Looks like a gas bubble which can take on an elongated look sometimes.

If yours was the same date we might have compared markers Aisha. As it is I'll store mine until it deflates. George
