If this is 1939S-1MM-001 I cannot tell because I cannot see the date with the mintmark. The position of the mintmark is crucial to the attribution process. You need to check this against the 001 at coppercoins.com and see if it matches the pictures and markers.

Thanks for the feedback. I looked on CC and I couldn't make the determination if this was a 001.

I will be posting several more coins because I cannot make a good match with the pictures from CopperCoins.

I agree with Jean that it could be the 001. If you couldn't match it up to the pics on coppercoins, its probably b/c the markers are too worn. That's kind of a problem with heavily worn coins showing possible RPMs. Still nice though. Shows you ahve a good eye. Look forward to seeing your other coins!

If you can just back out on the pic a little bit so that it shows the date and mintmark, we can see if the mintmark placement can prove if its RPM-001 or not.

Now it looks more like the 001.
But do not take my word for it as absolute because all I have for comparison are the pictures.
By the way, that is a nice find for that year!

Big Bob (sweetie) Piazza is on it again! And so are you, Greg & Jean! Nice detective work. LOL!
