I'm trying to learn what feeder damage is v die deterioration. Is this wear due to a feeder? Behind the neck is die scratches.

I would say that this is a struck through error Aisha. Looks like it may have been a heavy grease.

Hard to say from the photos provided, maybe a struck through, maybe something else...

Okay, struck through as in cloth? That's what it reminds me of.

I don't think it is cloth; most likely something viscous like grease...

No, struck through a heavy grease. A cloth would sometimes leave a weave pattern. This coin looks like there was just a heavy blob or two of grease on the die or planchet before striking.
