1953 pmd + ????

I know there is PMD but do you think the pmd caused the letters to look the way they do?

I don't think PMD is to blame for the anomalies you see on the letters. This is definitely a case of it being a late die state coin and overuse of those dies. It looks like severe die wear in those areas.

If it were mine, I wouldn't keep it. That is strictly my preference though.

i agree throw it back so i can find and hoard it i keep all mine from the crusty to the deformed to the new looking ones im non judgemental when it comes to wheats thats partly why my collection is interesting cause i got everything from the chewed up to the new lol
