1960 P dragon tail

I dubbed this dragontail because of the sharp protrusions on the outside curve of the 6 and in and outside belly of the nine. I also see a split in the down stroke end of the nine and at the commencement of the 6. Any ideas as to what caused the sharp (raised) protrusions? Although there is no other evidence of it, it looks like an RPD would. Otherwise is this a DD? The cooin is 50% red though the pictures don't show it.

A little hard to say but maybe it is all due to die wear and chipping on the edges of the digits. That split on the 6 may even be a crack in the die. I don;t see anything that makes me think DDO...at least not yet...
