I don't think it is 1MM-005. The position of the MM on your coin is too far off for it to be 1MM-005.

I think you're right. Any idea which it could be. I couldn't find a pic of 1mm-003.

I wouldn't be that hasty. I checked it against James Wiles Third Edition RPM Book (CD), and it looks like it could be close to the 003, at least as far as the secondary MM appears in the photo. And it's a better fit in terms of positioning, but the CD is lacking a good photograph for positioning and die markers (he asks for someone to send him one). Unless one of our experts on LCR positively says if ain't so, you may try to contact Wiles and get his opinion.

I agree, either wait and see if Bob chimes in or email (or PM) Wiles (he's on LCR). I am on the fence and the picture on the 3rd edition of the RPM book, as Kevin stated, is not helping...it could be isolated MD or maybe an RPM...

It does look like a D/D West and could be RPM #3 according to my knowledge base the EDS and LDS are as yet unconfirmed and so I also would not be to hasty. The only issue I do have is the size and shape of the inside of the MM, it does not match the picture I do have. But it looks to have taken a bit of a hit so again am unsure. The funny thing is the opening of the MM does look like 005 but the positioning is wrong. This is a good one for the experts.

Hey experts you out here?

Fellas, look at your old RPM Book, The position in relationship to the tail of the Nine in the date and the mintmark on this coin. This coin is farther North and east. I have copies of #4 and #5 also, It is neither of those.

Ikandiggit - Look at the coin with your glass, is the verticle line raised or shelflike?
If it appears shelfed under higher magnification it's MDD. If you have a nice raised verticle line, then you may have a new 35-D! Hope it helps....

Very hard to tell, but I would say shelf-like. Here's a pic from the side:
