If it is, it could be a new find as it's not the 1980D 1MM -001 on coppercoins.

I THINK THIS IS MD. IN YOUR FIRST PICTURE YOU CAN SEE THE SHIFT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE "8" IN THE SAME DIRECTION (SOUTHWEST).

I think you are right- it's looking more like MD than a RPM.

A little tough to say for sure, but I would agree it looks more MD-ish than RPM-ish...
