    Washington Dollar Coin Varieties/Errors

On the Washington Dollar Coins, I have found several "Wild Whisker" examples (die break) and a few "severed head" examples. I think the "severed head" are quite common and not worth much, but what about the "wild whisker"?

I am not familiar with either of those names. However, the severed head seems to be the cause of an abraded die or worn die that has smooth that portion of the design element to a level equal to the field. The "wild whisker" is more than likely a die clash and in that case, less common a find.
