This one is PMD... That is metal flow comming out of the bottom right or West. Look for serifs on the other mintmark, it will help you find them...

This is not necessarily PMD. There is no extra metal. It is a plating problem that has lead to corrosion of the zinc core.

I agree, the plating had a split when minted, the opening in the plating helped corrode the zinc (it probably was wet for a while) and it bubbled further from the oxidization.

A condition much too common on copper plated zinc core cents.
