Speaking of die chips.. Here is a good thread..
Was wondering if that FS 1c-021.51 had been debunked yet?
If not .. here is my submission for the next CPG..
Yours looks a lot like the 1951 D FS 1c-021.51. I think they are both chips.

Came across one. I see it as a die chip.
My question, and not to change the main subject of this thread, but is albeit similar -- is the 1955-D 1c (FS-1c-021.95) in CPG claiming horizontal D been found by anybody else other than the reported specimen? I have searched many, many 55-D rolls and no joy. I get the feeling that's going to be another debunk ....

I just threw this out as a topic for discussion..
I and alot of Variety dealer/collectors have long felt that was just a die chip too Billy. Thanks for your input to the thread.
But it does go to show what inclusion in a book ( Red Book, CPG etc.. ) or magazine articles in Coin world does for a coin.
For modern day varieties , they become like the "American Idols" of coins..

I would hope so. Save the copy space and put some verified find.
