I just bought this ring today and the question is What to do?????
Would you take the coin out or leave it in. Now you must remember the coin is .900 gold .100 copper and the ring is 24K gold. wieght is 16.89 grams.

Frank,
Removing it from the ring will end up showing much more damage. I am curious as to why you bought it. Was it strictly for resale, precious metal content, or do you really like it as is??

Maybe resale but I do like the ring having the coin but the best part was the price I pick it up for. Your jaw would drop.Thats why I'm not sure what I want to do and I'm seeing what others would do.A jewelry dealer said it would cost me $85.00 to remove it and guaranties no damage to the coin.

Do NOT remove it!!! I repeat: Do NOT remove it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even if the jeweler guarantees no damage to the coin, do NOT remove it!
In order to get a coin to fit in a ring, the coin is normally damaged to make it fit snug.
The coin is beautiful inside the ring just as it is. Some would probably pay a premium for it being in a ring.

I think it has a lot of character as is.

You might could sell it to this guy... :tinysmile_hmm_t:

it looks like you want to sell it ?

i would try any of the following -
1. sell the ring for what you think you could get for it
2. keep the coin and sell the ring part - hey the coin is already damaged
i would try and remove the coin myself , just take your time if you have patience & good eye sight
3. sell both seperate

In my opinion, if you take the coin out, both the ring and the coin shall be damaged. If you leave the coin in, both the coin and the ring are not damaged.
I lay before you two choices. Choose you this day which you shall take: damaged coins and jewelry, or beautiful, undamaged coin jewelry.
I think the answer should become obvious.
