Badly worn/damaged 1946s S/D question

Can anyone possibly tell if this is an S/D or is it too damaged and is worthless? The reason I am asking is because in the first picture there looks to be a line which could possibly be the D. I put an arrow next to the line to show what I am talking about. Thanks.

When trying to attribute any mint mark variety, I always start with mint mark positioning as my first elimination criteria. When you compare your mint mark with the S/D pictured on coppercoins, you can see your mint mark is too high in relation to the date. Thus, it can't be it no matter how close it looks. This further leads me to a conclusion that this is a well placed hit, not a variety at all. Sorry, but hopefully you can find a real one soon!

I did an overlay and it was close. So I had to try another way to check the mint mark for location.

The locations are so close, but that is not the same die as the 1946D-1OM-001. Also the lack of the over mint mark was missing. But I gave it a good try, but they were not from the same dies. Sorry.

Yeah guys thanks for the responses. I looked close at the position of the S and thought it could be it because of the location. I figured it was too badly worn/damaged so I didn't really have my hopes up.
