    Whats the best (Year) for varieties/errors ???

    I'd have to say 1988P without a dout. Other memebers, what do you think ???

    Almost ever year as I try to find as many of them as I can and I am not choosy.

      I'm with Joe on that. Every year has something and most times more and I try to find as many of them as possible. I'm not choosy either.

        2009-P Tons of varieties, but just like the others I want any and all I can find.

          My personal favorite year is 1941. Some nice, strong varieties. I list about 40 doubled dies for the date.

                    Joe gave good answer, but for Lincoln's I would guess 1909 thru 2011 would be good span
                    to find goodies in. lol

                      You can't go wrong with 1960-P & D.

                      First off you have 4 varieties of large dates/small dates

                      Not to mention:

                      1960-P

                      4 proof ddo's
                      2 Business strike ddo's
                      6 Business strike ddr's

                      1960-D

                      4 business strike ddo's
                      168 rpms!

                        How about 268 RPMs (Wexler's files) and 74 different die clashes listed (over 90 clash events). Yes, 1960 Lincoln cents were a very busy year for varieties and errors.

                              For my little nitche 1983 and 1999 seem to hold the most so far with over 20 pieces each. As time goes on and I add more Ill see if that changes at all.
