Are these a type of trails? 1982 P

I am not up on trials and I know these do not look a lot like the pictures I have seen on here but are these a type of trials? If not, what causes these things. Thanks

I think these are very worn and abraded dies. The area you are pointing to seem to be where the detail of the 2 should have been from a new die.

I agree with the worn dies statement and would also note that the items marked seem to be in the general direction of the metal flow on the coin and are probably the metal flow exaggerated by the wear next to the devices.

The die flow is very heavy through the date. A VLDS die. The area above the 2 is a heavy die flow line.
