I have not had much opportunity to look through Lincoln Cents, but I caught this flu bug and have been in-house for a few days. I had my daughter pick up some rolls for me to look through to break the boredom. I only found a few wheaties, some slight errors and other low level stuff, but I came upon this 1968S with some rather dramatic machine doubling.
Thanks for any comments...

That is a great example of MD! Have any of you noticed how much these are going for on ebay recently? $30-50 for well described machine doubled examples! It makes it so hard to not unload my big box of these types of coins and laugh all the way to the bank. Alas, I will never do this in hopes of keeping some sense of honor. So tempting though!

I really do not see what is dishonorable about selling these with the proper description. It is no different than a toned coin, or a die chip, or crack. Machine doubling in extreme cases have become somewhat collectible.

I agree, it's frowned upon in this circle, but it's dramatic and eye-catching, which is what sells. I haven't tried selling them either, but I've got several rolls I bet I could get over a grand for if sold individually.
