    Toning coins

    Are "toning" coins worth anything?

Moved. Again, please don't post a question in an unrelated thread.

As for toned coins, I am not very knowledgable on them. My initial guess would be that there isn't a premium for toned coins except in higher grades, and even then, only if the toning is natural and not artificial.

Toned coins, that were not created with chemicals or heat, can have a value. It depends on the overall condition, year, and aesthetic qualities of the coin. They range from below BU price to maybe $20 above, unless it is extremely odd, colorful and slabbed.

You need to hit the "New Thread" button instead of posting your questions in other unrelated threads.

I came across a 1995 reverse double die penny. I can't find much info about this kind of error. Can anyone help me out on this?

Pictures would be needed before we could provide any kind of information. There are no major doubled dies currently listed for that year. If I had to guess I would say its probably machine doubling, but without pictures we can only speculate.

It may seem like we are being unreasonable, but you questioned why we want you to start a separate thread, and yet you do this again after we mentioned why.

This thread you started was about toned coins, now all of a sudden you want to know about your 1995 coin. Different subjects, and different coins require different threads. This is not really too difficult to grasp.

Sorry, I won't post anymore until I figure out how "threads" work. Again, I embarrassed myself.
