    Unanswered: Anything going on with this one?

    Here's a cent that has a little more details in the eye and the lower ear seems to show an example of either an error or variety.

    Any thoughts?

    Looks like the lobe took a hit and it appears to go N/E into the beard. The eye looks like the doubled eyelids you see on a lot of the wheats but I would lean toward it possibly being a clash from the bottom step of the memorial.
    Just my opinion.

    Not quite sure about the eye...but the ear definitely looks like it took a hit. I would say "throw back".
