    1959-D What Is It? Contest

I thought this might be educational. First person to guess the correct answer as to what this is wins something that I haven't decided upon yet.

    Hint: It's obviously not MD.

I'll be stepping away for a couple of hours, but I'll check back as soon as I get home to see if someone guessed it right.

I know what it is, but I would just as soon let somebody else benefit from the lesson and your generosity.

    Bob,

I figured you would know. I'll send you something you don't have listed anyway.

Depends on how many of those rolls you're willing to give up for it.

I'm going to guess a die clash from the reverse columns. I don't think it's a form of doubling because the "doubled" areas are different distances from the letters.

I know what it is too, but don't believe in entering contests where I would take a prize away from a beginner or intermediate collector. I do appreciate you holding the contest, though.

Die Fatigue, 'Die-Wear'. Just like the 1955 poormans double die.
