    Double misaligned die

Sometimes...it pays to ask questions about something, even if you think it would amount to nothing. I found this 1983 coin today and noticed that the obverse was misaligned. I always turn the coin over to verify if in fact it is a misaligned die, or an off center strike. I have always found that misaligned dies had the misalignment on the obverse, but was pretty well centered on the reverse. This coin however, also has a misaligned reverse die in the opposite direction as the obverse. Even though the misalignment is minor, I thought it to be trivial, but still asked Mike Diamond for his opinion on what the proper terminology would be for this coin.
He responded by saying that it wasn't trivial at all, and in fact, double misaligned dies were rather rare. I had no idea. It just goes to show that even being in the hobby for over 40 years, I still learn stuff just about every day. here are the pics of the coin:

That is a cool coin. I've only ever seen misaligned obverses with centered reverses or off center coins. Thanks for the picks

It must be very rare, because I think I tossed some in the recycle bags. Darn!
Or like my little brother use to say "shucky darns".
