A BIE thread , Post Your BIE !

I don't think there has been a thread to show off your BIE's . I have seen toner threads , woodie threads , a RIDB thread but no BIE.
This could actually be a good place for all of us to get a idea of what to look for and what's out there.
So if you have one or more , show your stuff!

I'll start with two of my younger ones

Those two are very cool, and of course not in Cohen since her book was published in 1969!

Very nice images of these as well. What did you use to image them?

I have been imaging and attributing my BIEs using Cohen. You can see them all at:

Very nice images of these as well. What did you use to image them?

An old Sony A100 , m42 adapter , extension tubes, a Componon-s 50/2.8 for wider shots and a Tominon 35/4.5 copy lens for closeups. All this on an old Minolta focusing rail , less it's bellows , mounted on a 2x4 angled sled.

I found this one this morning in my unsearched BU 1957D Rolls. I think it's a match to B393 "note on the die chip on the B in LIBERTY how it extends above the center bar". This coin also has a Die Chip on the 5 in the date.

I've been trying to pick up Jean Cohen book, "The Classification and Value of Errors on the Lincoln Cent". Soon or later I'll find one.

Ray, this one is not on the CD I sent you as I just found it today.

I think your attribution of B393 is correct. The one I have (pictured here: http://www.macrocoins.com/1957d-bies.html) looks the same.

I think your new one is B659. You might want to check the other markers.

I had wondered that too after I found the 2007and had hoped this post would bring a few of them out of the woodwork .
I was going to compile a list of the ones that were reported here.
