    Answered: 1971 S in a Roll

    It is hard to see, but there is some slight doubling a the top of the 7, the 9. Also, with this being a San Fran mint, was it a proof at some time or did they make some non proofs there in 71?

    The problem is I see no doubling at all in the letters...I did a little research online and it seems as though it should have more doubling. Is this a decent find?

  2. "1971 did have San Fransisco making cents for circulation. It is also one of the years that was plagued by Machine Doubling Damage(MDD). It appears that this is what you've found. Pretty interesting but not worth too much."
