I 1982 cent weighs 3.1 to 3.2 grams. The other weighs 2.5 to 2.6 grams. What's going on with this? Anyone know anything about this?

In 1982 the mint transitioned from solid copper alloy cents (weight 3.11 g) to copper-plated zinc cents (weight 2.5 g). So all cents before mid 1982 should all be 3.11g and all cents after that should be 2.5g. Your coins are normal.

There was also a design change in 1982. some cents have a large date and some have a small date.
