    1934 LWC color .... is it natural?

    Hi all,

    I have this 1934 LWC and i like the color of it although i dont know if this is the natural color or not of the coin.

    I have other WLC that have more details than this one but they have a brown color and some are even nearly black but they show more details than this one, so My question is;

    Is it possible for a cent to have this degree of wear and still have this golden/yellow color?

    Thanks

    This does not look natural to me, especially given the wear of the coin. It should be a dark brown. This coin was probably treated with something like lemon juice.

        So this means that if someday i got the same coin (date) with the same degree of wear but with a brown color i should place it in my folder instead of this one as it will be of more value?!

              End result of placing a naturally colored coin in your album is that there would be a much higher chance that your 'set' would match like a 'set' and wouldn't have a sore thumb standing out. Doesn't really matter whether the color on your coin came from cleaning or an improper metal mix, it's still not attractive and could be replaced for far less than a dollar.
