94d penny error ?

    94d penny error ?

    i found a 1994d penny
    it looks like it is off center just a hair, the top band/ridge is unseen by the eye (can see it barly with manifying glass)
    the bottem looks a hair wider then should be (space between rig and body), you can feel the rim with finger nail all around it except the very top where you can just barely feel its there..

    is this a error that anyone else has found?

    sorry i dont have access to a decent camera at this time, trying to find one

    could this be worth anything?

      Without a pic it isn't going to be easy. Does it appear "off center" on both sides of the coin?

          Likely not an off center error. Both sides of the coin have to be "off center" for a true error. What you describe is a MAD (MisAligned Die) and is a normal mint occurance. MAD's don't carry a premium unless part of the design element is missing which, in my eyes, takes it from a normal occurance to a true error.

              it only looks this way on the obverse side (like the top die was a little off)
              and i will try to get as good a pic as i can within a couple days

                  In that case, it is a slightly misaligned die and is pretty common, actually. Welcome to the forum, take a look around. Lots of great info available.

                      Welcome to the forum!
                      I agree that it is a slight misaligned die error. Pretty common.
                      And just for future reference, they are called cents, not "pennies".
