Error Planchet | Unplated Zinc Planchet

Just picked up a type 2 (raised rim) unplated zinc planchet that weighs 2.8g. It is normal diameter and not magnetic. Is this from overweight stock? How common are unplated planchets? What's the value? Thanks.

With that weight it may be plated over with zinc... As far as I know unplated zinc planchets are not to common... No idea on value!!!

I'd wonder is if it's an unplated zinc planchet or if it might be a similar size foreign coin planchet.

My apologies, the diameter is slightly larger than a cent planchet. I also checked to see if was plated with zinc. It seems to be solid and some what soft. I may have a spectrometer check to see if it is zinc. The one picture does show zinc like corrosion. Any idea what foreign planchet it might be?

Being larger pretty much rules out a cent.

Sort of odd, being unplated zinc. I'm not sure what country would use that because it's so reactive.
In WW2 Germany did use unplated zinc, check the weight and diameter against those issues.

The spot does look like what we see on zinc but I'd still explore other possibilities.
