What be happening with this 1933-D Mintmark?

I bought this 1933-D LWC for my collection. Graded by PCGS at a modest MS64BN.
I zoomed in on the Mintmark and "something" is going on with it, but nothing that matches CopperCoins, Variety Vista, or Wexler's listings. Is it just damage? (Doing the best I can to take pictures through the plastic holder).

I do apologize of I'm not describing things correctly; and for the horrible, grainy closeup images. But, after searching more, I came across a minor RPM that it might be. Possibly the CC: 1933D-1MM-003?
