1918-P wide collar error caused by vertical collar cracks (Coin World article)

Mike Diamond determined this to be "a wide collar error and the only one I've found associated (and caused by) a series of vertical collar cracks. I guess another way of framing the diagnosis is to say that the coin has four retained collar cuds. A normal cent has a diameter of 19.05mm. The E-W diameter of this 1918 cent is 19.46mm and the N-S diameter is 19.44mm"
