I will start with a 1825 capped bust half dollar O-101. These were my grandfathers and have been in the family now for a while.
Had to teach myself the diagnostics for identifying these .50¢ coin die marriages. The terminology I encountered was often odd (such as seeing someone call die pitting "die mounds") and the photos often were often missing key die markers for earlier or later stages. The key diagnostic was the right scroll edge lining up with the middle of the M in AMERICA (Reverse A - and was only paired with Obverse 1)
Anyway the coin...
