    Most of the woody's we here of are the earlier wheat's, but very closely resemble the look of your coin, I'd call it a woody..Just curious 1981? I've seen a few of these late 70's-82,they do have a nice look!

      Lately it seems that these have been accepted in the "woodie" crowd, however, in my opinion the texture of the post wheat era is quite different from the original woodie. I like them when thei're severe in streaks but I don't think they are the same as the originals and they are quite common in the '80's. I think we should come up with a different name for these.

        I think the proper name is improperly mixed alloy, at least I've read that somewhere as I recall. You're right on the texture difference, the old one's appeared a bit grainy, and these seem streaky. Let's call them..... STREAKER'S

            If it is pre zinc then it can be a woodie (Streaker)!!!
