            Correct me if I am wrong here... Wouldn't the correct term be delamination... A lamination is putting layers together while a delamination is the layers coming apart... Nice coin either way... The layer that peeled off is gone but the underlying area is really visible!!!

                The technical term for the anomaly Jim is a 'Lamination Error'. It is a de-lamination as you say, but the term includes anything that deals with the layers of metal. People say lamination all the time, but without the word 'error', they would be technically incorrect.
