    1972D RPM/DDO Date

I am 99.99999% sure on the RPM but only 90% on the date... The "2" appears to have a split and maybe something with the "7"... I pointed things out with arrows... Any and all comments welcome... Thanks!!!

Definitely an RPM but DD? I don't think so. Hope I'm wrong.

Jim, I don't see a listing for your RPM on CC or Wexler's. For now until someone else can find it...
        You did good buddy!

Does this coin have any of the Master Die Doubling on the motto and LIBERTY? If it does, that may be what we are seeing on the 2 of the date.

If need be I can get a closeup of LIBERTY and IGWT... 1st pic I was hoping was good enough to see... Those are actually thin compared to others I have!!!

Jim, I was able to blow up the pic enough to tell that it definitely is a master die specimen as well. I would attribute the 2 of the date to be a result of the MDD. The RPM is a no brainer though. Congrats on the find.

I cannot find this rpm in any of my reference material, as well as online.
It would be nice to send it in for attribution... you might have a new die there!
                  Nice find!
Although, when looking through the RPM Book, 2nd Edition, the overall appearance , or shape, of the D and the position under the date looks amazingly like RPM #6... but the actual rpm itself is totally different. Similarities to other rpms sometime drives me nuts trying to figure them out....

Well if you didn't work all the time and play with your coin collection... LOL... I understand... Wish I was able to work myself... I will try to get it out to you this week... You can look at it when you get a chance... I am in no hurry... LOL... I was looking at the "2" again and I am not sure there is a slit... It looks funny to me so having you look at it will be good... The master doubleing you mentioned well I am unable to see it... I am as blind as a bat... LOL!!!
