    Gouges or rim markings?

    This 1984P is just something that caught my eye.
    What would you say made these marks? PMD?

    I wouldn't call this PMD. I think they are just stray die scratches.

            Those aren't bubbles. Definitely scratches.

              Since the items run under the lettering that indicates they are on the face of the die... Remember that items in relief on the coin are incuse on the die... Hope this helps a little!!!
