    Struck thru wire or clash?

I don't see it as being a clash but anything can happen.
Do you think it could be a wire?

This does not look like a struck through wire as the area is raised.........don't know what this could be.

I have a couple of coins with a similar anomaly. Don't quite know what they are though.

Most likely damage to the die as stated above. Unknown source (That should cover it).

My guess is 'struck through worm'. That's my final answer Regis!

I think the worm got underneath the planchet's skin, and when it struck, it squished the worm. The carcass bubbled up like all smushed worms and caused the raised line seen here.

It's a bird! It's a plane! Aw nuts... It's merely two die scratches!

Just a thought...but is it possibly a clash from a previously struck through wire ?

I think the result of which would just be die damage... not a clash. It is possible that this is what caused the anomaly.

Yes, I see what you mean...however,isn't a clash just die damage in the end ?

The results of a clash could be classified as die damage, but not all die damage is the result of a clash.
