since there are large date and small date for the 82 cent, are there also large and small date proofs?

There was only the 1982-S for Proof sets.

NOTE: There were also no official Uncirculated Mint sets produced in 1982 or 1983.

i understand that the 82-s was from the proof set but was there both sizes or just one?

The 1981 and 1982 proof sets had two types of mint marks for the other denominations -the rarer, "clear" mint mark and the more common "blob" mint mark.. However, to my understanding, there was only one type of S mint mark for the 1982 proof cents (mm style #12 as listed on this site).
