    Counter-clash Images????

I noticed that Steven The LCR Moderator has a picture of a Lincoln cent Motto that has 2 images on the Observse side of the Coin, a Liberty Bell to the left and a image of the Country with "USA" is imprinted inside the Image. My question is this. How do these "IMAGES" occur on the observse or is this considered to a Counter-clash image. I have a 1973 D Lincoln cent with a image of what looks to be a silouhette of JFK to the right of Lincoln's bust. Any help would be appreciated!!!!!! Thanks. Sorry I am unable to upload pictures at this time!!!!!

They are stamped into the coins for sale or give away novelty items. They range from Masonic to X-Mas and beyond.

They are post-mint alterations to the coin. This is not done at the mint.

        Hi
Joes is correct - counter stamped coins. Bet u it has paste on the back! It was produced to give you the coincidences between Kennedy and Lincoln. Lincoln had a secretary named Kennedy, Kennedy had a secretary named Lincoln, and so on.
If you need a copy of the sheet that they would paste the coin on, let me know, I'll mail one to you.
        Thx

As stated, these a counter-stamped coins, which are a completely different animal from a counter-clash. Counterclashes are actual die varieties but do not resemble anything you'll find stamped on a coin.

Like we talked about - that's my original never been painted or restored - 18,400 miles 396/375 411 rear 4-speed munsi wood wheel tinted glass hd suspension am/fm rear speakers (factory) tinted glass accent stripes wheels. Only change was I put on a sun tac and a 850cmf 3-barrel. Cobalt top.

The rare one, besides cops, l88, zl1's, would be the same config on a 66 ss/396. My buddy had one in marina blue equipped the same a's mine. I copied his.
              Thx

                Response to Counter Clash Error????

Dear LCR Group Members and RWBILLER, Numismatic Historian, You are right about the coin having a area that has paste on the reverse. How did you know!!!!! I was going to meation this but I thought it was not important and had nothing to do with the IMAGE of JFK on the observse, but I am glad that it turns out to be signifiance and as a History Buff myself I really APPRECIATE the information. Thank you all!!!!
