    1980 D RPM "Triple"??

Once again, I apologize for the photos & hope you can see what I do. To me, it looks like at least a rpm on the D, but I can also see what looks like some "tripling" on the left side of the D, and also inside of it. Does look like it took a partial hit, but still looks like RPM too. Nothing even remotely close on CC site. Thanks for the input! Bill

Nice RPM I'd be sending that to Bob for a possible new listing.

Actually, it doesn't look like an RPM at all to me. Not to be a party pooper, but it looks like the MM was twisted and pushed during the strike, a form of mechanical doubling. Maybe its my eyes and this computer, but that's what it looks like to me. Regardless, good luck with it and I'm hoping the best for you.

I would have to agree with Rock here. This certainly seems to be MD, not an RPM.

Thanks Rock for a great explanation, and to Bob for the confirmation. I know I will always get the answer here for all my inquiries no matter if they deflate my bubble or not! LOL On to the next "discovery piece" !! Bill

Now that Rock pointed it out,I see how the MM is smaller than normal, which makes sense for damage. I just have a hard time comprehending how MD could be that dramatic and not affect the date. Not doubting, just wanting to learn
