Is this PMD? Can't figure out 1960 D

Ok, last one for the night (morning) for me.

1960 in itself was a confusing year. This one's 6 just doesn't look right.

My guess is that it took a hit. Also is that Machine Doubling on the body? And one more thing....base of the memorial. Die Chip or PMD also?

The coin is in pretty rough shape, (mind you it is one of the better ones out of my crappy roll).

    What is your take?

    Thank you everyone.

    Lara,
The anomoly on the 6 is common for the 1960-D. I believe it was in the hubbing but I don't think it's considered master doubling. Bob or BJ would probably give you a better explanation of what it is. The doubling along the front of Lincoln is usually Lathe Reduction doubling, also a common occurance for that date.

For some reason the workmanship on the 1960 small date Lincoln cents was at best shoddy. The mark that you are referring to is an engraving mishap that was not polished off the master hub. There are four identifiable engraving mishaps on the obverse of these coins; the diagonal bar on the N of IN, the R of LIBERTY, the 9 digit and the 6 digit.

It was late and I wasn't sure.
To be honest,I was just too tired to research anything at that point in the night.

I knew that the 1960 had a few issues/concerns with that in general.

        Thanks!

None of the anomalies pictured are post production damage.
