    1990d mm? Mm?

    When, exactly, did the Mint start engraving mint marks? I think if this was a '89 we'd be thinking a bout it harder. Don't know.

    I believe 1989 was the last year for hand punched MMs!!!

      Jim's correct. What looks like a shadow is just breaks in the plating. Pretty deceptive though!

            It looks like a plating issue to me too George, but I would have to caveat that by saying it would need an in-hand exam to be sure.

                Most likely plating issues. Would pretty pretty darn rare if it turned out to be an RPM...
