92 struck thru grease/worn dies or??

Received this as change today - any ideas what happened to it? We & most of Trust are mostly/completely missing along with some of the hair details - on rev part of of at top and ce from cents show same thing. is it common for grease to affect both dies or were both very worn - or is something else going on. the attached are 300dpi from scanner - let me know if I need better & will fiddle with it/up res & see what I get

    Thanks,
    Steve

Not much of a close-up there, but sure looks like a 'greaser', (grease-filled die).
    'Filled Die'.

The absence of detail in the motto and the portrait is largely from the coin being struck through (grease) filled dies. Parts of the motto also shown worn dies, mostly around IN GOD and LIBERTY. The reverse shows the grease going into the areas receiving the least pressure from the obverse die (Lincoln's portrait, which is recessed).
